Anchor Liberty Ale
Rating:
What did you think of it? Never Tried It

Liberty Ale was first brewed in 1975 and was one of the very first American IPAs. Remaining largely unchanged since then, by today's standards it is a crisp copper ale with a dry mouthfeel and a great balance of malt and hop characteristics. It pours a very transparent, copper color with a lot of champagne-sized bubbles. This is a great beer for your summer barbecue.

I only rated this a 3, but this is still a respectable beer that paved the way for a lot of the beers that we drink today. They've been making this for 40 years so it's obviously stood up well over time!ohbuckeyenut Jul 4, 2016 at 1:18PM

3 rating I had a 5 month old bottle. This contributes to my rating. Liberty Ale is a very nice American IPA. Nice color and head retention. I did get subtle dandy lions, grapefruit and big malt aromas. Rating may change if I get my hands on a fresher bottleLeave a Comment:
