An incredibly flavorful Double IPA, this is sure to be a highly rated beer in this category. The color is dark golden with high clarity and little carbonation. Fairly citrusy and lots of pine, with strong hop flavors from start to finish. There is a lingering sweetness, and the malts become more prevalent with each sip. A lot of Double IPAs intentionally take hops to the extreme and while Double Jack is very hoppy, it is very good about balancing them with the malty undertones to keep his beer very drinkable.

One of the best Double IPAs out there. Enjoying this one right now... Such great piney hop flavors balanced with the right amount of malt. Not for the faint of heart, this one is for a seasoned IPA and DIPA drinker as the 9.5% is pretty apparent.jhmiller Oct 3, 2015 at 3:47AM
Had this again tonight. Seems to be a theme, late night beer for me. Changing my rating from 4 to 4.5 as this is such a solid Double IPA. A little on the sweet side but it works for this beer in conjunction with the hop and malt balance.Leave a Comment:
