Happy Days - Claremont Craft Ales - Beer of the Day - Beer of the Day.

Pours a medium to dark amber color, non-transparent, with ½ finger of light brown, bubbly head. Strong, malty aroma with some sweetness in the nose. Taste is superb. Malt-forward with flavors of roasted malt, dark bread, and some mild sweetness. Robust flavors, but very drinkable for 9.5% abv. The hop flavors are very present for a malty beer, with earthy, herbal, and pine coming through. Hoppy but not overly bitter. Medium to full body. It’s easy to see why this beer has won the Gold medal twice at the GABF, as it’s clearly one of the best in this category.
