In the middle of Niamey, Niger a cold pale lager is a welcome sight! It is soft and wet with mild tones of flavor that encourages drinking more in the arid Sahara and dancing like you don't care. I paid just under a Dollar per can in a fancy grocery store. Local men says its the best and watched me kill one as they all cheered at the conspicuous consumption. Locals always assume its for a reason or celebration so I say something courageous. I would prefer to sip a wheat beer.
